Worn at the waist it keeps snips at hand while both hands stay free, which is the actual problem it solves — the alternative is putting pruners down in the soil and spending four minutes looking for them. Worn cross-body it sits at the hip and stays out of the way when you are bent over a bed.

Water-resistant means it shrugs off drizzle and a misdirected watering can. It is not waterproof, so do not submerge it and do not put it through a machine. Spot clean, air dry, and it will outlast most of the plants it was bought to help with.
